Cerakote Firearm Coatings for our Ferret | |
---|---|
The Military Airnesco Ferret is now finished with the state-of-the-art Cerakote to make the system even more durable. Traditionally a firearms coating, it will extend the longevity of the Ferret even further, in the harshest of environments.
Cerakote is a coating that is hard and protective, making it scratch-resistant against abrasions such as being dropped or impacted. It enhances the physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength and hardness. It attracts much less in terms of dust, dirt and other particles and is an effective barrier against oxidation and corrosion, especially useful for extremely hot and dusty climates. This will have a huge benefit to our naval customers and those using the systems in desert conditions. Along with our latest developments; chamber cleaning brush, new range of cleaning fluids, enhanced safety couplings and the distribution brush, the Airnesco Bore Cleaning System continues to lead the way in Automated Barrel Cleaning Systems from 20mm up to 203mm for all NATO and non-NATO Weapons. Fully codified and certificated with over 20 years of exclusive use within the British and US Forces, amongst many others. Contact Us for more information. |

Airnesco Celebrates 70 Years in Business |
---|
The Airnesco Ferret and Percussion Lance have reached 70 years in production and are easily the most tested and proven air tools on the market. Cleaning tubes, pipes and barrels from 1″ upwards, the tools have been in service across the globe for decades and continue to be the most powerful and effective way to keep your boilers and condensers clean and efficient. From the early days in 1947 when the tool made light work of cleaning coal boilers it has grown and developed into many new industries including biomass and incineration. |
In 1999 a brand new market, automated gun barrel cleaning, saw Airnesco storm into the forefront winning contracts with the UK and US forces, which we are still proud to hold to date. The system cleans all guns, launchers and mortar barrels from 25mm up to 203mm, smooth or rifled removing carbon deposits and controlling copper residues. |
In order to continue our research and development into new markets and products Airnesco has finally moved to a new facility in Maidstone which will give us the space to take on bigger projects and house more equipment. Winter has stopped the final touches to the building, but we are now fully operational inside and looking forward to the next 70 years! |

Airnesco Helps the Big Cat Sanctuary | |
---|---|
WHF, The Big Cat Sanctuary are situated in the heart of the Kent countryside just 4 miles from Airnesco’s new offices. The peace and tranquility of the area provides excellent conditions for the successful breeding of the beautiful, yet endangered cats both large and small within the European Endangered Species Breeding Programme. | |
The sanctuary are continually working to improve the cats’ habitat to ensure they have as much of a natural life as possible. In order to start building dirt mounds for the cats they required a large amount of dirt. Fortunately Airnesco were able to provide them with this from the spoil that was dug out to provide the base for the new workshop and offices. | |
Over a period of a week, 500 tonnes was moved to the Sanctuary to create mounds with uneven surfaces and crevaces for smaller cats to explore and larger cats to dominate. Large quantities of dirt were used outside the compounds to create the illusion of a natural landscape for the cats by creating grass and bushed mounds. Some of these include water features and man made caves. The remainder of the dirt has been used to create boundaries around the parking area. | |
The WHF, Big Cat Sanctuary rely upon local farmers, groundworkers and donations to enhance many of their ongoing projects. Airnesco were happy to help. | |

Shot Show 2014 |
---|
What is SHOT Show? |
SHOT Show® is the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade ShowSM and Conference for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting accessories industry.
In addition, the show offers a uniquely diverse Law Enforcement and Armed Forces section for agency and department purchasing agents. The largest trade show of its kind in the world and the fifth largest trade show in Las Vegas, the SHOT Show features more than 1,600 exhibitors filling booth space covering 630,000 net square feet. The show, which is a trade-only event, attracts more than 62,000 industry professionals from all 50 states and 100 countries. 2013 saw the formation of a strategic alliance between OTIS Technologies and Airnesco Group Ltd, with our first venture being DSEi 13 in London, as part of this relationship OTIS technologies invited elements of Airnesco Group Ltd to attend SHOT Show 14 in Las Vegas. Although not a focus show for Airnesco it was deemed as a great opportunity to engage with our hosts and consider our combined strategy for 2014 and beyond. As a bonus SHOT Show also gives us an opportunity to meet other international partners such as Arnold Defence & Electronics, Pinnacle Corporation of Taipei, DM Aircraft of Bogota as well as many other organisations we work with. Therefore making SHOT Show an important event in the calendar. The series of meetings between OTIS Technologies and Airnesco Group Ltd have allowed us as a team to coordinate respective Business Development activities with projects in Colombia, Chile, Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, Poland and Malaysia. 2014 will hopefully prove to be a decisive year for both organisations and a busy one at that. If you have any further questions on anything covered in this blog or any questions about our products, please contact either Brad McIntyre on brad@otistec.com or Tim Moore on tmoore@airnesco.com. |
